Culture
Painting, sculpture, pottery, textiles, photographs and videos, are some of the artistic expressions that forms the III Show of Art in San Pedro de Atacama, that takes place in the Archaeological Museum RP Gustavo Le Paige and it will stay open until February 27 th .
The exposition that is the result of united efforts of the zone artists, private companies and the San Pedro local council, are formed by resident artists and also others coming from other regions of the country and Peruvians.
The objective of the show is not only to show the huge creativeness potential around art that is generated in San Pedro, but it also promotes the cultural activity when generating a meeting place for the public, tourists and expositors
In this occasion some artists will be awarded for their long creative performance: Isidora Ayavire, potter; Miguel Angel Cruz, pottery objects maker and farmer; Evagelista Soza loom teacher and Teresa Vicuña, sculpture.
